The highly anticipated movie version of LES MIS is currently in production in the UK, and Adelaide Now has just featured a sneak peak of Jean Valjean himself- Broadway's Hugh Jackman in costume. Check out the photo below.

The Music Hall is set to welcome the French bourgeois, presenting the national tour of LES MISERABLES for a limited engagement from December 6th through the 9th.

Daily Mail reports that the cast of Cameron Mackintosh and Tom Hooper's film version of the musical Les Miserables now includes Bertie Carvel (Matilda), Daniel Evans (Sunday in the Park with George) and Adrian Scarborough (Betty Blue Eyes). In addition, several cast members who have performed in stage versions of Les Miserables will star in the film including Caroline Sheen, Hadley Fraser, Killian Donnelly, Mike Jibson, Linzi Hateley, Gemma Wardle, Katy Secombe, Gina Beck, Fra Fee, Alexia Khadine and Katie Hall.

Sebastian Stan has been tapped to star opposite Sigourney Weaver ('Avatar'), Carla Gugino (Broadway's 'Road to Mecca,' 'Watchmen,' 'American Gangster,' 'Entourage'), James Wolk ('Lonestar,' 'Happy Endings') and Brittany Ishibashi ('Parenthood,' FAIRLY LEGAL) in USA Network's provocative six-hour original series POLITICAL ANIMALS, from Warner Horizon Television.

The Society of London Theatre has today announced the shortlist for the BBC Radio 2 Olivier Audience Award. The public will vote for the overall winner. The shortlisted shows are BILLY ELLIOT, JERSEY BOYS, LES MISÉRABLES and WICKED.

Neil Morrissey and Samantha Barks will play the roles of Fagin and Nancy from Tuesday 13 March - Sunday 1 April. Samantha Barks will head straight from OLIVER! to start filming the forthcoming Les Miserables film, which has already begun production with scenes being shot in both England and France.

The highly-anticipated film adaptation of Les Miserables will open in movie theatre in December, and according to Daily Mail, the movie will feature brand-new music by the original song writing team. Baz Bamigboye reports that Claude-Michel Schonberg, Alain Boublil and Herbert Kretzmer wrote a song called 'Suddenly' for the movie.

The Public Theater announced the dates today for the 50th Anniversary season of free Shakespeare in the Park at the Delacorte. AS YOU LIKE IT, directed by Daniel Sullivan, will begin previews on Tuesday, June 5 and continue for four weeks through Saturday, June 30. Joining the previously announced Lily Rabe (Rosalind) will be Macintyre Dixon (Adam); Renee Elise Goldsberry (Celia); and Omar Metwally (Oliver).
