The closing night concert for the 2012 Johnny Mercer Foundation Songwriters Project was held on Friday, June 23, 2012. For the seventh year, the Johnny Mercer Foundation Songwriters Project hosted the nation's most promising songwriters across all genres including music theatre, pop, jazz, rock, and contemporary pop at Northwestern University. The Maxwell C. King Center for Performing Arts, Inc., of Brevard Community College is celebrating its 25th year. It was in April 1988 when the theatre first opened its doors to the sound of 'Singing In The Rain." The celebration begins with a 25th Anniversary ticket raffle.
