Pan American Musical Art Research (PAMAR), founded in 1984 by Uruguayan-born pianist Polly Ferman, Artistic Director of PAMAR, presents the 14th Annual Latin American Cultural Week (LACW), November 9 through 19, 2019.

Set upon the picturesque banks of the Hudson River and immersed in vibrant autumnal foliage, celebrated companies and artists presented diverse and world-class dance at this year's  Hudson Valley Dance Festival on Saturday, October 12, 2019, in Catskill, NY. Two performances at Historic Catskill Point raised $145,964 for Dancers Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Continuing their decades-long commitment to cultivating appreciation of all varieties of dance, The Joyce Theater Foundation (Linda Shelton, Executive Director) will welcome arts patrons to its annual Choreographers & Cocktails event on Monday, October 28. The Martha Graham Dance Company announces the 2019–20 season of its popular Studio Series, which offers audiences a behind-the-scenes look at the work of the Company in the intimate setting of the Martha Graham Studio Theater. The events in the Studio Series revolve around The EVE Project, the Company's season theme celebrating female empowerment and the 100th anniversary in 2020 of women's right to vote.

The Apollo Theater today announced details of its 2019 fall season, featuring myriad music, dance, and theater performances and film screenings that expand the nonprofit theater's role as a partner, commissioner, and co-producer of programming that articulates African American narratives.

Bat-Sheva Guez's short film In This Life will screen at the Rhode Island International Film Festival on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 6pm. The short will screen at The Vets Cinematheque, Providence, RI, as part of the 23rd year of New England's largest and most prestigious film festival. A.I.M by Kyle Abraham makes its Ted Shawn Theatre debut at Jacob's Pillow, July 31-August 4. A Jacob's Pillow Dance Award winner, Doris Duke Artist Award winner, and MacArthur 'Genius' Fellow, Kyle Abraham's 'skill as a dancer is a fact' (The New York Times). The world-renowned Martha Graham Dance Company announces the second season of The EVE Project, a two-year initiative celebrating female empowerment and the upcoming 100th anniversary of women's right to vote. Commissioned works from some of today's top choreographers will be presented, and the classic repertory features Martha Graham's heroines and anti-heroines-all with an underlying statement about female power.
