The contestants for the seventh annual Broadway Beauty Pageant will include Callan Bergmann (Silence! The Musical), Julius C. Carter (SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark), Yurel Echezarreta (Matilda), Matthew Goodrich (The Nance), Orion Griffiths (Pippin), and Paul HeeSang Miller (Mamma Mia!). As previously announced, four-time Tony nominated and Drama Desk Award-winning actress Tovah Feldshuh will host the event which will take place on Monday evening, May 20th, at 8:00p.m., at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts (566 LaGuardia Place). Ghostlight Records will present the New Broadway Cast Recording for Roger O. Hirson and Stephen Schwartz's beloved coming-of-age musical comedyPIPPIN with a digital release on June 4 and the CD in stores on July 9. The acclaimed revival has been hailed as 'astonishing' by The New York Times, 'amazing and eye-popping' byEntertainment Weekly and 'the season's best musical, jazz hands down' by USA Today. The show, which was nominated for 10 Tony Awards including 'Best Musical Revival,' is now playing at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street). Producers Barry & Fran Weissler and Howard & Janet Kagan have just announced that the critically acclaimed and Tony-nominated Broadway musical PIPPIN will launch a US national tour in September 2014, at the Buell Theatre in Denver, CO. Roger O. Hirson and Stephen Schwartz's beloved coming-of-age musical comedy PIPPIN is directed by Diane Paulus featuring choreography by Chet Walker in the style of Bob Fosse and circus creation by Gypsy Snider of the Montreal-based circus company Les 7 doigts de la main (also known as 7 Fingers). The production is now playing at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street).

Hirson and Stephen Schwartz's beloved coming-of-age musical comedy Pippin, which is now playing at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street), on June 4 (digitally) and July 9 (in stores). The album will be co-produced by composer Stephen Schwartz and Kurt Deutsch, and executive produced by Howard & Janet Kagan.

Five months…  FIVE MONTHS after their previous musical comedy, Jumbo, opened at the Hippodrome, the trio of Richard Rodgers, Lorenz Hart and George Abbott had a brand new one at the Imperial.  But far from seeming a rush job, their 1936 On Your Toes can easily be argued to be a huge step forward in refining musical comedy into a sophisticated art form.

The Boston Theater Critics Association previously announced its nominations for the 31st Annual Elliot Norton Awards. The awards, which recognize excellence in Greater Boston theater, will be presented tonight, May 13, at 7 p.m. at the Paramount Mainstage, 559 Washington Street, Boston.
