She's Back in Just No Time at All! Andrea Martin Will Return to Tony Award-Winning Role in Broadway's PIPPIN

The producers of the Tony Award winning Best Revival of a Musical PIPPIN just announced that Andrea Martin, who won 2013 Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for creating the role of "Berthe" in the production, will return to the role for 24 performances only, Tuesday September 2nd through Sunday September 21st. Tony Award winner Priscilla Lopez will now perform the role of "Berthe" through Sunday, August 31. PIPPIN is now in its second smash year at Broadway's Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street). MEET & GREET to Return at Theatre Asylum, Opening 8/3

After playing to sold out crowds at the recent 2014 Hollywood Fringe Festival, the new hit comedy play - MEET & GREET returns for an extended run at Theatre Asylum-Elephant Space in Hollywood. The Encore! Producers' Award winner was written by t.v. veterans Stan Zimmerman (The Golden Girls, Roseanne, Gilmore Girls) & Christian McLaughlin (Married with Children, Desperate Housewives) and directed by Stan Zimmerman (Entertaining Mr. Sloane, Blink & You Might Miss Me, A Tuna Christmas). The outrageous comedy features an all star cast, including Daniele Gaither (Mad TV, Groundlings), Teresa Ganzel (Wall-E, The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson), Carolyn Hennesy (True Blood, General Hospital), Vicki Lewis (NewsRadio, Chicago on Broadway) and Brendan Robinson (Pretty Little Liars). It runs for only twenty-four performances at Theatre Asylum-Elephant Space, 6322 Santa Monica Blvd in Los Angeles from Friday August 1st to Sunday September 21st with three performances per weekend, Fridays & Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 4pm. Santino Fontana, 2013 Tony Award nominee for Best Leading Actor in a Musical (Cinderella), visited students of Broadway Artists Alliance Junior Summer Intensive on July 9th. Fontana spoke of his start in school plays all the way to his Broadway career. Fontana relayed some words of wisdom during a Q&A, answering questions ranging from memorizing all those lines to the process of making Frozen. (more...)

Theatrical Memoir ACT ONE Closes Tonight on Broadway

Tony Winner Andrea Martin to Return to Provincetown, 6/28-29

Andrea Martin is a two-time Emmy Award winner for the critically acclaimed sketch comedy series SCTV, and is also a two-time Tony Award winner. She won her second and most recent Tony Award last June of 2013 for her performance as Berthe in the Broadway revival of "Pippin" directed by Diane Paulus and her first award was for the musical 'My Favorite Year.' She is currently starring on Broadway at Lincoln Center in "Act One" by James Lapine opposite Tony Shalhoub. She is also filming a new television sitcom "Working The Engels" written by Katie Ford ("Miss Congeniality," "Desperate Housewives") which is now filming in Toronto. On June 28 and 29, this comic star of stage and screen returns to Broadway@ The Art House for the first time since its inaugural season in 2011.
