Soulpepper Theatre Company today announced programming details for the 2018 summer season line-up which includes three plays as well as an exciting concert series.

London-based jazz and neo-soul artist Alba Plano has shared her latest single 'I Hope' via Sunrise, taken from her upcoming EP White Lotus, and follows her debut single 'Out There'. For the last two years, Plano has fronted Forever Amy, a project featuring Amy Winehouse's original band, touring and performing in large venues throughout Europe and the UK. She has performed backing vocals for Ninja Tune's Jordan Rakei and has collaborated with a host of accomplished musicians such as Dale Davis (bass player and musical director for Amy Winehouse, Tina Turner and Freak Power), Jim Hunt (sax for Richard Ashcroft, Brand New Heavies, Noel Gallagher, Jamiroquai) Troy Miller (drummer and producer for Laura Mvula, Becca Stevens, Jamie Cullum) and with a previous project opened for Elio e le Storie Tese at Shepherds Bush Empire.

Today's subject, Eva Noblezada, made a huge splash in the West End a few years back in the revival of Miss Saigon, playing the coveted role of Kim. This was after being discovered at the Jimmy Awards, which recognizes excellence in high school theatre across the United States. Eva then went into Les Miserables on the West End before reprising Kim in Miss Saigon on Broadway. That performance garnered her a well-deserved Tony Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical.

From the start to end of 2018, Art Factory will have presented eight fully produced musicals, and six explosive concerts. Four musicals and five concerts remain for audiences to enjoy before the end of the year!

The 2018-2019 season includes six Broadway shows, headlined by the Tony and Grammy Award-winning Blockbuster Beautiful – The Carole King Musical. Oscar Wilde's effervescent society drama An Ideal Husband sees the incomparable Gina Riley (Kath & Kim) and William McInnes (The Time of our Lives) lead an all-star cast including Simon Gleeson (Hay Fever), Brent Hill(Little Shop of Horrors), Michelle Lim Davidson (Utopia), Zindzi Okenyo(Disgraced), Josh Price (Going Down), Greta Sherriff (Oklahoma!) and Christie Whelan Browne (Muriel's Wedding, The Musical), with newcomers Jem Lai and Joseph Lai.

ANN WILSON of HEART, one of rock's most distinctive and powerful vocalists, will release her new solo album September 14 on BMG, marking her debut for the label.
