Next up on Kitchen Theatre Company's 2016-2017 26th Season is Death Boogie by Darian Dauchan, a hip hop musical that combines physical theater, music, video, and poetry in a stunning projected environment! Violinist Mathew 'MattViolinist' Silvera and double bassist Desmond Bratton provide live accompaniment for this one-of-a-kind theatrical musical event. Performances are November 15 to December 4.

Queens Theatre (Taryn Sacramone, Executive Director) will present the award winning play In the Car with Blossom and Len written by Joni Fritz and directed by Tony Award nominee Lynne Taylor- Corbett (Broadway's SWING!) at the Queens Theatre's Shulman Theatre located at 14 United Nations Avenue South in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Segerstrom Center for the Arts will celebrate Mexico's revered Dia de los Muertos with performances by Perla Batalla, La Santa Cecilia, Pacifico Dance and Quetzal on November 2, 2016 in the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall starting at 7:30 p.m. Four performances will take place in a single concert: Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Perla Batalla, LA bands La Santa Cecilia and Quetzal and Pacifico Dance Company.
Kate Lydon Appointed ABT Summer Intensive Artistic Director

Kate Lydon has been named artistic director of American Ballet Theatre's Summer Intensive programs, it was announced today by ABT Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie. Lydon, who is also artistic director of the ABT Studio Company as well as Apprentice Program Coordinator, succeeds Julie Kent who served as the Summer Intensive artistic director for 2016.

GK Arts Center is proud to host Gelsey Kirkland Ballet's perennial holiday classic, The Nutcracker. This is the fourth year this production of The Nutcracker will be performed over the course of a special two-week engagement, running December 8-18 at the GK Arts Center (29 Jay Street, formerly St. Ann's Warehouse in Dumbo, Brooklyn, N.Y.). The 18-member company is under the artistic direction of Gelsey Kirkland and Michael Chernov.
