ABC Talent and Casting will present the 2019 ABC Discovers: Los Angeles Talent Showcase on WEDNESDAY, OCT. 16, at the El Portal Theatre for the Performing Arts in North Hollywood, California. Part of Walt Disney Television's ongoing commitment to creating opportunities for undiscovered talent, the showcase features selected participants performing in a one-night showcase for casting directors, talent agents, managers and other industry professionals. In addition, the selected showcase actors are awarded a one-year mentorship with executives from the ABC Casting Department. As part of the mentorship, the showcase actors will be offered on-camera workshops specifically for them to further hone their craft and auditioning skills. Talent will also have access to various ABC executives.

I loved Hamilton when I saw it. I paid £57.50 for a seat in the middle of the top tier of the newly refurbed Victoria Palace Theatre. It was pretty expensive, but I made my peace with it. The show was everything I wanted it to be.

Woodie King Jr's New Federal Theatre kicks off its 45th season with Karima's Accept 'Except' LGBT NY, which will begin performances October 23rd and continue through November 23rd with opening night set for November 6th. Tony Award winner George Faison directs a cast that features Tuluv Maria Price and Tyree Young. The design team includes Chris Cumberbatch (scenic design), Ali Turns (costume design), Thurston Reyes (lighting design), and Ralph Gentry (sound/visual design).

¾Scholastic, the global children's publishing, education and media company, has acquired North American rights to Embassy Row, a three-book young adult series by New York Times bestselling author Ally Carter; best known for her Heist Society and Gallagher Girls series. The first book in Embassy Row, is planned for release in 2015. The deal was negotiated by Kristin Nelson from Nelson Literary Agency and David Levithan, VP/Publisher and Editorial Director at Scholastic.

Webster University¹s Conservatory of Theatre Arts presents ³Uncommon Women and Others² by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning playwright Wendy Wasserstein. The production runs Feb. 20-24 and Feb. 27-March 3, in Stage III, Webster Hall, 470 E. Lockwood Ave. Curtain times are 7:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. only on Sundays. A special post-show conversation will immediately follow the performance on Sunday, Feb. 24. Admission is $12 for the general public and $6 for senior adults and students.
