This December Company of Fools (COF), a proud part of the Sun Valley Center for the Arts, invites you to set sail with a wildly theatrical, hilarious and innovative retelling of how a miserable orphan came to be Peter Pan! COF is one of the first theaters outside of New York to receive the rights to this Broadway hit and will present 13 public performances of this family-friendly adventure from tonight, December 18 through January 3 (recommended for children ages 8 and up).

The Drama League has announced full casting for DirectorFest 2014: The 31st Annual One-Act Festival, an evening of four short plays staged by the Drama League Directors Project Fall Directing Fellows Elena Heyman, Michael Leibenluft, Michael Osinski, and Caitlin Sullivan for a limited 5-performance engagement, tonight, December 13 - 16, 2013 at TBG Theatre (312 West 36th Street, between 8th & 9th Avenues).

Les Freres Corbusier has announced its return to off-off-Broadway with a special workshop production of Here's Hoover! The Historic Herbert Hoover 2014 Comeback Special, written by Sean Cunningham, with songs by Michael Friedman and directed by Alex Timbers, began on December 5 at Abrons Arts Center, 466 Grand Street. Amazon Studios just celebrated the premiere of its highly-anticipated dramatic comedy series, Mozart in the Jungle. Mozart in the Jungle draws back the curtain at the New York Symphony, where artistic dedication and creativity collide with mind games, politicking and survival instincts. Based on the critically acclaimed memoir Mozart in the Jungle: Sex, Drugs & Classical Music by Blair Tindall, the series is seen through the eyes of a young oboist, Hailey (Kirke), who tries to navigate through the egos and eccentricities of a world renowned orchestra, and new conductor Rodrigo (Bernal), an enfant terrible whose PASSION for music threatens the plans of the orchestra's old guard.

According to an article on Slate, Stanford University students responded to the cancellation of their production of the satirical musical BLOODY, BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON with a cabaret called DID WE OFFEND YOU? The new show premiered last weekend to a sold-out audience and featured controversial tunes from musicals including RENT, THE PRODUCERS and, of course, 'ANDREW JACKSON'.
