Harvey Fierstein is on a UK kick these days. According to the Daily Mail, the book writer and actor said that NEWSIES, which is currently touring the United States, will arrive in the West End 'in the next couple of years,' once the right theater is available.

This Sunday March 8, 1:00pm matinee performance of Disney's Tony Award-winning musical, Aladdin at the New Amsterdam Theatre (214 West 42nd Street) completes the fourth season of autism-friendly performances presented by TDF's Autism Theatre Initiative (ATI). The other autism-friendly performances of Broadway shows presented this past season have been The Lion King, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time and Matilda.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame, featuring a book by Peter Parnell, music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, has begun performances at Paper Mill Playhouse, but due to weather, performances have been canceled today, March 5. Please contact the Paper Mill Playhouse Box Office on Friday, March 6 to reschedule your tickets for a future performance. Performances on Friday, March 6 will go on as scheduled.

According to a recent post by the A.R.T. the show already has plans for Broadway! The theatre auctioned off tickets to the show's opening night on Broadway as a part of its 2015 gala, teasing: 'See it in Cambridge before it heads to NYC!' Casting has not yet been announced, but a recent NYC workshop was led by Tony winner Jessie Mueller, Keala Settle, Bryce Pinkham, Christopher Fitzgerald, Barrett Wilbert Weed, and Eric Anderson.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust announces DISNEY'S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, the award-winning worldwide smash hit Broadway musical, is returning to Pittsburgh. Produced by NETworks Presentations, this elaborate theatrical production will come to life on stage at Heinz Hall, 600 Penn Avenue, from Tuesday, March 31 to Sunday, April 5, 2015, as a season special part of the 2014-2015 PNC Broadway Across America-Pittsburgh series. This production is presented by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, Pittsburgh Symphony, and Broadway Across America.

Disney's Aladdin, the Tony Award-winning new musical comedy based on the Academy Award-winning animated film, is pleased to announce that original stars Adam Jacobs (Aladdin), Tony Award nominee Jonathan Freeman (Jafar), Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart (Genie) and Courtney Reed (Jasmine) have extended their contracts with the production through February 21, 2016. The four actors have led the 'sublime' (NY1) Aladdin company since its pilot production at Seattle's Fifth Avenue Theatre in the summer of 2011 and garnered critical acclaim when the Broadway production opened on March 20, 2014.
