The Holly Theatre Company presents LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS October 23-November 8, 2015 at the Historic Holly Theater. The Howard Ashman and Alan Menken musical features a blood-thirsty plant and his quest for world domination.

Inspired by a true story, the musical features a Tony-winning soundtrack composed by eight-time Oscar-winner Alan Menken, with lyrics by Jack Feldman and book by four-time Tony-winner Harvey Fierstein. The Tony-winning show premiered on Broadway in 2012. NEWSIES begins October 31 and runs through December 27, 2015 at the Barclays Teatro Nazionale in Milan. '

BroadwayWorld is excited to report that Disney Theatrical Productions is holding an open casting call across North America for its current and future productions of the award-winning musicals ALADDIN and THE LION KING. Casting representatives from both productions will hold open auditions for local singers, dancers, actors and children (for THE LION KING only) in Chicago today and tomorrow, November 7 and 8, 2015.

Fiddlehead Theatre Company announces the addition of 2 matinee performances during the company's production of Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID from November 27-December 6, 2015 at the Strand Theatre (543 Columbia Rd, Dorchester, MA 02125). 

Disney Theatrical Productions and the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center remind audiences that tickets for the highly anticipated Fox Cities engagement of Disney's NEWSIES will go on sale to the public Friday, Nov. 13 at 10 a.m.

Producer Larry G. Spangler and The Spangler Group announced today that T Bone Burnett has joined the creative team of Happy Trails, the new Broadway-bound musical based on the life and career of American icons Roy Rogers and his wife Dale Evans.  The music world legend will be writing the score (music and lyrics) for the musical, which will feature a book by Academy Award-winner Marshall Brickman (Annie Hall, Manhattan, Jersey Boys, The Addams Family) and direction by two-time Tony Award-winner Des McAnuff (Jersey Boys, Big River, Tommy).  Due to a scheduling conflict, the previously announced songwriting team of Alan Menken (music) and Glenn Slater (lyrics) has departed the production.

Disney Theatrical Productions and Associated Bank Broadway at the Marcus Center series announced today that tickets for the highly anticipated Milwaukee engagement of Disney's NEWSIES will go on sale to the public on Friday, November 13 at 12:00 pm. The Tony® Award-winning production will begin performances at the Marcus Center on Tuesday, January 5 for a limited engagement of one week through Sunday, January 10.

Disney Theatrical Productions, Broadway Entertainment Group and NETworks Presentations are delighted to announce that, in celebration of Disney's Beauty and The Beast's 20th anniversary on the stage, the show will visit Beirut - Lebanon for the very first time as part of its International tour.  The English-language production will play at the Casino Du Liban Theater on October 28 until Nov 8, 2015 as part of a world tour which includes numerous countries in Asia & the Middle East

Encompass New Opera Theatre held a gala to honor legendary Broadway performer BARBARA COOK and lyricist LEE ADAMS (Bye Bye Birdie, Golden Boy, Applause) with a star-studded musical salute on Sunday, October 25. BroadwayWorld has photos from the evening below!

The Growing Stage, The Children's Theatre of New Jersey, located in the Historic Palace Theatre on Route 183 in Netcong, New Jersey is proud to present the holiday classic A CHRISTMAS CAROL the Musical from November 20th through December 20th with performances Friday evenings at 7:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 4:00 PM. A CHRISTMAS CAROL the Musical is based on the story by Charles Dickens with music by Alan Menken (Disney's The Little Mermaid), lyrics by Lynn Ahrens (Seussical) and book by Mike Ockrent and Lynn Ahrens. A CHRISTMAS CAROL the Musical is under the direction of Stephen L. Fredericks, The Growing Stage's Executive Director with choreography by Jillian Petrie and musical direction by Melinda Bass O'Neill.
