Artistic Director Les Waters and Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein have announced the world premiere of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins Appropriate, directed by Gary Griffin, appearing as part of the 37th Humana Festival of New American Plays. Appropriate begins previews tonight, March 5, opens March 7 and runs through April 7.

Arizona Theatre Company (ATC) brings Neil Simon's comic masterpiece about show business, friendship and growing old, 'The Sunshine Boys' to Arizona audiences. David Ira Goldstein directs one of Neil Simon's most beloved and acclaimed plays in ATC's new production that will premiere in Tucson for three weeks of performances and continue to Phoenix for an additional three weeks. ATC's 'The Sunshine Boys' opens at the Temple of Music and Art, running from tonight, March 2, 2013 through March 23, 2013. It continues its run in Phoenix at the Herberger Theater Center from March 28, 2013 through April 14, 2013.

The Oscar-winning and Tony-nominated actress Estelle Parsons was honored at La Mama's annual benefit fundraiser, along with longtime La MaMa board member Peter Swords on February 27, 2013 at the Ellen Stewart Theatre (66 E. 4 St.). Ms. Parsons, who appeared last fall at La MaMa in Marco Calvani's play THINGS OF THIS WORLD directed by Neil LaBute, and Mr. Swords, who served as a member of the La MaMa Board for 25 years, wascelebrated at the event by personal and video tributes from playwrights Warren Leight and Mr. LaBute. Craig Gass has announced the release of his debut live comedy album and DVD, The Worst Comedy Show Ever, on April 16, 2013 through Oglio Records. The release will coincide with GASS' North American tour (dates TBA).
