The Tony Awards Administration Committee met today for the second time this season to decide the eligibility of 14 Broadway productions for the 2013 American Theatre Wing's Tony Awards, presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. The Tony Awards Administration Committee will meet a total of four times throughout the 2012-2013 season to decide the eligibility for the 2013 Tony Awards.

The Attic Theater Company will present THE MNEMONIST OF DUTCHESS COUNTY, a new comedy written by Josh Koenigsberg (Herman Kline's Midlife Crisis, Al's Business Cards) and directed by Laura Savia, which will be performed at The Beckett Theatre -Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, at 9th Avenue), now through Saturday, March 2, 2013. Chicago's The Gift Theatre explores the challenges of loss, love and letting go in the darkly comic one-act play Vigils, written by Noah Haidle (Stand Up Guys, Mr. Marmalade) and directed by Erica Weiss (A Twist of Water). In a gently whimsical take on a heartbreaking scenario, a young widow keeps her deceased fireman husband's soul in a box by her bed, but then has to make a tough choice when the possibility for new love comes into her life. Vigils runs February 28-April 21 at The Gift Theatre, 4802 N. Milwaukee Ave (at Lawrence) in Chicago.

The Drama Desk and Obie Award-winning Keen Company will present the newly revised version of A.R. Gurney's 1991 play, The Old Boy, beginning Tuesday February 12th and continuing through March 24th only. Opening Night is set for Tuesday, March 5th.

"Channeling Kevin Spacey" will perform its last show off-Broadway on Sunday, February 17, 2013, at the Roy Arias Theatre at the Times Square Art Center.

Mr. Robinson withdrew for personal reasons.

Today in 1915, The Merchant of Venice opened at the 44th Street Theatre. A tragic comedy by William Shakespeare, the play believed to have been written between 1596 and 1598. The title character is the merchant Antonio, not the Jewish moneylender Shylock, who is the play's most prominent and most famous character. This is made explicit by the title page of the first quarto: The mo?t excellent Hi?torie of the Merchant of Venice. The play was recenlty brought to Broadway in 2010 after a successful run at Shakespeare in the Park with Al Pacino and Lily Rabe.
