MainStage Irving-Las Colinas unveiled three plays, two musicals and a special collaboration that will be produced as part of the 2017-18 season to a packed house of volunteers, subscribers, and supporters on Saturday night, April 15 at the Irving Arts Center. The new season features Sister Act: The Musical, The Gazebo, Witness for the Prosecution, The Full Monty: The Musical and George Washington Slept Here.

The Olivier Award winning playwright Ken Ludwig - also a 3-time Tony nominee, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Award winner - will give a lecture entitled HOW TO TEACH YOUR CHILDREN SHAKESPEARE, based on his book of the same name on Wednesday, May 3 at 6 p.m. at the Boston Public Library (Rabb Hall) located at 700 Boylston St. in Boston. 

The popular improvisers behind Clued-In: An Improvised Murder Mystery are returning to Judy's Beat Lounge in the Second City Training Center, Saturdays in June, bringing back their thrilling and fast-paced 'whodunit' in the style of some of the greatest mystery writers of our time. Gregory Award-winning Seattle Public Theater announced the lineup for its 2017-18 season yesterday. The six plays, including a newly-commissioned world premiere by local playwright Maggie Lee and the runaway broadway sensation Hand to God by Robert Askins, were chosen specifically by newly appointed co-producing Artistic Directors Kelly Kitchens and Annie Lareau as part of the organization's mission to produce compelling and socially relevant theater that sparks conversation, broadens consciousness, and inspires compassion.

Agatha Christie's renowned murder mystery novel, And Then There Were None, published in 1939 and adapted for the stage by Ms. Christie in 1943 is being staged at the Players Theatre in Greenwich Village.  The production is part of Be Bold! Productions American Classic series which produced The Glass Menagerie in 2015 and Driving Miss Daisy in 2016.

The Group Rep presents the world premiere of Brent Beerman's comedy drama A Dull Pain Turned Sharp, directed by Kay Cole, produced by Mannette Antill, about a mother's dream to be a grandmother, a daughter's dream of independence, and another mother's dream of carrying on the lineage of her deceased son. What happens when one's happiness depends upon the actions of another? The play runs April 21 through June 4, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 pm, Sundays at 2:00 pm at the Lonny Chapman Theatre in North Hollywood.
