Adirondack Theatre Festival to Open 22nd Summer Season with ISLAND SONG

Kicking-off Adirondack Theatre Festival's (ATF) 22nd summer season of professional theatre is ISLAND SONG. Performances will be held at the Charles R. Wood Theater (207 Glen Street in downtown Glens Falls) June 21st - July 2nd at 7:30pm with a special matinee performance on June 29th at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $32-$45 and are available at the Wood Theater Box Office, online at ATFestival.org, or by calling (518) 480-4878. Discount season flex passes are available for the full seven show line-up.

Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Farm Theatre to Present Padraic Lillis' HOPE YOU GET TO ELEVEN, 6/23-7/3

This summer The Farm Theater is pleased to present Padraic Lillis' solo show, Hope You Get to Eleven, or What Are We Going to Do About Sally?, directed byScott Illingworth and presented as part of the 8th Annual Planet Connections Theatre Festivity. Performances will be on June 23 at 7:30pm, June 25 at 5pm, June 29 at 7:30pm, and July 3 at 4:30pm at The Paradise Factory (64 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery). STEPPENWOLF Set for The New School Auditorium, 5/11-12

The Steppenwolf saga gets a new treatment in the world premiere of Steppenwolf - a musical retelling. Written and composed by 21-year-old Dutch protege Jochem le Cointre (class of 2016), The first ever staged adaptation of Hermann Hesse's classic novel, originally published in Germany in 1928, the show features a 15-piece chamber orchestra; an ensemble of students from The New School's College of Performing Arts; a cast of New York City actors and singers, including several from The New School's Mannes School of Music, School of Drama, and Lang Theater; and dancers from the renowned Martha Graham Dance Company. Choreography is by Tadej Brdnik, the former principal dancer of the Martha Graham Dance Company. Two performances will be staged on May 11 & May 12, 2016 at 7pm at The Auditorium at The New School, 66 West 12th Street, New York, NY 10011.  Tickets are free (first come, first seated) and can be reserved by visiting EventBrite.

iO Theater to Present New Vienna Juvenile Sketch Comedy Revue

Vienna Juvenile Sketch Comedy is proud to announce that their fourth sketch revue, The Adventures of Reginald Sampson (and the Consequence of Bliss), will make its debut this April at Chicago's iO Theater (1501 N Kinsbury St, Chicago, IL, 60642). The show will be directed by the group's Resident Director, Sophie Blumberg, and it will be written and performed by Vienna Juvenile Ensemble Members and Layne Dixon, Hank Greene, and Anthony Smith. The show will run on Fridays at 10:30pm from April 22 - May 27, with a preview performance on April 15. All performances will be in The Chris Farley Cabaret. Tickets are $14 for the general public (free for iO students), and they can be purchased online at  iOImprov.com/Chicago, or by calling the box office at (312) 929-2401.

SOUTHERN COMFORT, Musical Tale of Transgender Friends in Rural Georgia, Starts Tonight at The Public

The Public Theater presents the new musical SOUTHERN COMFORT that tells the true story of a group of transgender friends living life on their own terms in the back hills of rural Georgia. SOUTHERN COMFORT begins previews tonight, February 23 and will run through Sunday, March 27 in The Public's Anspacher Theater, with an official press opening on Monday, March 7.

59E59 Theaters will welcome the return of the little OPERA theatre of ny with the New York premiere of L'Amant Anonyme, adapted and directed Philip Shneidman from the opera by Chevalier de Saint-Georges, with a libretto by Desfontaines after Mme. de Genlis. Conducted by Elliot Figg with Art Direction by Sanford Biggers, L'Amant Anonyme begins performances on Saturday, March 12 for a limited engagement through Sunday, March 20. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:15 PM; Friday & Saturday at 8:15 PM; and Sunday at 3:15 PM. he Public Theaterannounced complete casting today for the new musical SOUTHERN COMFORT that tells the true story of a group of transgender friends living life on their own terms in the back hills of rural Georgia.  Directed by Thomas Caruso and based on the film by Kate Davis, SOUTHERN COMFORT features book and lyrics by Dan Collins and music by Julianne Wick Davis, and was conceived for the stage by Robert DuSold and Thomas Caruso. SOUTHERN COMFORT begins previews on Tuesday, February 23 and will run through Sunday, March 27 in The Public's Anspacher Theater, with an official press opening on Monday, March 7.
