Westport Country Playhouse's world premiere musical revue, 'Sing for Your Shakespeare,' playing now through June 22, features a six-member cast of Broadway talents: Karen Akers, Britney Coleman, Darius de Haas, Stephen DeRosa, Constantine Germanacos, and Laurie Wells. With selections from Cole Porter's 'Kiss Me, Kate,' Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim's 'West Side Story,' and Rodgers and Hart's 'The Boys from Syracuse,' as well as numbers by Duke Ellington, Frank Loesser, and others, the production explores how the American Songbook has been inspired for decades by Shakespeare's works. Westport Country Playhouse announces a world premiere musical revue, 'Sing for Your Shakespeare,' as the second production in its 2014 season, running tonight, June 3 - 22. Directed by Mark Lamos, and co-conceived by Lamos, Wayne Barker, and Deborah Grace Winer, the show is based on an original idea and production for 92nd Street Y's Lyrics & Lyricists, New York, NY. Celebrating its 84th season, Westport Country Playhouse was recently named Theater Company of the Year by The Wall Street Journal.

PROJECT Trio, with beat-boxing flutist Greg Pattillo, cellist Eric Stephenson and bassist Peter Seymour, will perform An Interactive Concert for individuals with Autism and their families on Saturday, June 14 at 1:00pm at the 92nd Street Y, New York. The program will include the group's original compositions and arrangements that bridge many styles of music and will have everyone in the audience participating. Something Old, Something New: Sing For Your Shakespeare Launches in Westport

Tonight, May 29 (8 pm), The Nouveau Classical Project and TrioDance Collective present the world premiere of a new modern ballet titled Potential Energies at BAM Fisher's Fishman Space. The 50-minute piece, choreographed by Barbie Diewald to music by rising composer Trevor Gureckis, will be seen in a single performance.

La Voz del Cuerpo/The Body Speaks, the film written and directed by Christine Dakin, was screened on May 16th as part of the 'Fridays at Noon' programming at the 92nd Street Y. This truly beautiful movie presents an insightful view of the art of dance and integrates the vibrant culture of Mexico.

The chamber music concert co-presented with 92nd Street Y featuring The Mary and James G. Wallach Artist-in-Residence Yefim Bronfman, originally scheduled for March 30, will now be performed tonight, May 23, 2014, at 8:00 p.m. at 92nd Street Y. Tickets originally issued for March 30 will be honored on May 23.

BalletCollective will present two world premiere ballets that showcase the company's commitment to artistic collaboration on October 29 and 30 at NYU Skirball Center, 566 LaGuardia Place at Washington Square. The program will include the company's The Impulse Wants Company (2013). All pieces will be accompanied by live music and feature lighting design by Brandon Stirling Baker.

The New York Philharmonic will conclude its 2013-14 subscription season with the final program in The Beethoven Piano Concertos: A Philharmonic Festival, when Music Director Alan Gilbert conducts Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, Emperor, featuring The Mary and James G. Wallach Artist-in-Residence Yefim Bronfman as soloist, and Beethoven's Triple Concerto, with Mr. Bronfman, Principal Cello Carter Brey, and Concertmaster Glenn Dicterow in his final appearances before concluding his 34-year tenure, Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at 7:30 p.m.; Thursday, June 19 at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, June 20 at 8:00 p.m.; and Saturday, June 21 at 8:00 p.m.

The Muny has announced the principle casting for its fourth show of its 96th season, The Addams Family, directed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge, choreographed by Vince Pesce, with musical direction by Ben Whiteley. The Addams Family is sponsored by Missouri Lottery.
