42nd Street Moon to Conclude 23rd Season with THE MOST HAPPY FELLA

42nd Street Moon concludes its 23rd season with Frank Loesser's glorious Napa Valley romance, the Tony Award-winning THE MOST HAPPY FELLA. This masterpiece with book, music and lyrics by Frank Loesser (Guys and Dolls, How to Succeed in Business …, Where's Charley?) is an unconventional and sweepingly romantic love story set in the vineyards of Napa Valley. Considered one of Loesser's greatest works, the stunning score includes "The Most Happy Fella," "Standing on the Corner," "Joey, Joey, Joey," "Rosabella," "Big D," "My Heart Is So Full of You" and "Song of a Summer Night." Directed by Cindy Goldfield, with musical direction by Dave Dobrusky, THE MOST HAPPY FELLA will run April 27 - May 17, 2016 (Press opening: Saturday, April 30) at the Eureka Theatre, 215 Jackson Street, San Francisco. TheatreWorks Silicon Valley continues its 2015/2016 season with the Regional Premiere of the dazzling romance, CYRANO, a new sprightly adaptation by Michael Hollinger (Opus) and Aaron Posner (My Name is Asher Lev, The Chosen) of Edmond Rostand's classic Cyrano de Bergerac.

Aurora Theatre Company to Present THE HEIR APPARENT, 4/15-5/15

Master playwright David Ives (Venus in Fur, All in the Timing) reinvigorates Jean-Francois Regnard's 1708 comedy about greed, love, and intrigue in Aurora's Bay Area Premiere of THE HEIR APPARENT. Josh Costello (Detroit, Wittenberg) helms THE HEIR APPARENT, featuring Julian Lopez-Morillas, Kenny Toll, Patrick Kelly Jones, Elizabeth Carter, Lawrence Radecker, Khalia Davis, and Katie Rubin. THE ADDAMS FAMILY Opens 3/26 at Berkeley Playhouse

 Berkeley Playhouse at the historic Julia Morgan Theater continues their most acclaimed season yet, with The Addams Family. The show isdirected and choreographed by long time Berkeley Playhouse associate Kimberly Dooley (Berkeley Playhouse's Mary Poppins, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Wiz, Suessical the Musical.). 42nd Street Moon announces FALLING IN LOVE WITH LOVE, a fundraising gala that will honor Co-Founder and Artistic Director Greg MacKellan, who will complete his 23rd and final season with the company this June. Singer, actress, and veteran Moon performer Klea Blackhurst will serenade patrons in an exclusive concert during the evening. The event also includes cocktails, a live auction, dinner, and a "MoonLight Lounge" with Musical Director Dave Dobrusky and other 42nd Street Moon performers.  Cocktail attire is encouraged. Just in time for the holidays, 42nd Street Moon presents the return of everyone's favorite Yuletide sourpuss in the World Premiere of SCROOGE IN LOVE!, a fun, high-spirited follow-up to A Christmas Carol. Starring Broadway's Jason Graae (last seen at 42nd Street Moon in Little Me) in the title role, SCROOGE IN LOVE! follows Ebenezer Scrooge one year after his life changed for the better, although he still feels something is missing. Its song and dance enchant, but in the end depend on a strong cast to sell a frail plot. 1962 London had Elaine Stitch. 2015 San Francisco has Allison F. Rich. Lively, sharp and ready with a sarcastic whip for any occasion, Rich commands the stage as cruise director Mimi Paragon in the 42nd Street Moon production.
