Winners Announced For 'Mercer County Artists 2019' At MCCC Gallery


A recent Mercer County Community College alumnus took home the coveted Best in Show award as 36 artists from throughout the county displayed their creations during the opening reception of the Mercer County Artists 2019 show at The Gallery at Mercer.

Mercer County Artists Award Winners Announced


The arts community was out in force on Feb. 22 for the Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony for "Mercer County Artists 2017," now on display at the Gallery at Mercer County Community College (MCCC) through March 23. The Gallery at Mercer is located on the second floor of the Communications Building on the college's West Windsor Campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.  (The gallery is closed during Spring Break, March 13 to 19.)

Mercer County Artists Award Announced


The Mercer County arts community came out in force to view the rich and varied works of fellow artists at the Awards Ceremony and Opening Reception for “Mercer County Artists 2015” on February 4. The exhibit is on display through February 27 at the Gallery at Mercer County Community College (MCCC), located on the second floor of the Communications Building on the college's West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.

The local arts community had a chance to meet, greet and enjoy the diverse, colorful and often poignant works of fellow artists at an Awards Reception for “Mercer County Artists 2014” on March 13. The exhibit is on display at the Gallery at Mercer County Community College, 1200 Old Trenton Road in West Windsor, through April 3. It features 96 works by 75 artists and includes oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings, as well as mixed media collages and sculptures in clay, found art, and recycled materials. Canadian premiere of Nina Raine's award-winning play TRIBES set to open February 2


Canadian Stage presents the Canadian premiere of Tribes, the sharp, daring and jarringly emotional play by Nina Raine recognized by the 2012 Drama Desk and New York Theatre Critics Circle Awards. Tribes is directed by Daryl Cloran and features Stephen Drabicki, Patricia Fagan, Holly Lewis, Nancy Palk, Dylan Trowbridge and Joseph Ziegler on stage at the Berkeley Street Theatre (26 Berkeley Street) fromFeb. 2 to Mar. 2, 2014.

'LEFT OF CENTRAL: Later 20th Century Visual Arts in the Capital City' Comes to MCCC Gallery, 1/21-2/20


The Gallery at Mercer County Community College (MCCC) hosts “Left of Central: Later 20th Century Visual Arts in the Capital City,” an exhibit featuring works by pioneering artists from the Trenton Artists Workshop Association (TAWA). The exhibit runs from Tuesday, Jan. 21 to Thursday, Feb. 20. An opening reception takes place on Saturday, Jan. 25 from noon to 2 p.m. A panel discussion and conversation about the Visual Arts Trenton from 1979 to 1999 will be held Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 7 p.m.

DVxT Theatre Company and Theatrefront Merge to Tell a New Story


On July 1st 2013, Theatrefront merged with DVxT Theatre Company. Both companies share a similar aesthetic in terms of style, rehearsal process, production values and core storytelling. Both companies prioritize new work, innovative productions of classics and an ensemble structure. Theatrefront and DVxT have 24 years of combined experience, which includes 20 productions in Toronto, 35 Dora Award Nominations and 16 Dora Awards.

The artistic talents of Mercer County Community College's art students will be showcased in this year's 'MCCC Visual Arts Student Exhibition,' on display from Tuesday, April 24 through Thursday, May 17.

MCCC Gallery Announces Mercer County Artists Winners


The Gallery at Mercer County Community College announced the award winners for 'Mercer County Artists 2012' at an Opening Reception Mar. 7. The exhibit, which runs through April 5, features 78 works, including 18 sculptures, by 76 artists who live, work or study in Mercer County. The pieces were selected from 288 entries by this year's juror, curator/consultant Jeffrey Wechsler, who recently retired as senior art curator at the Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Museum at Rutgers University/New Brunswick.
