Mee, presented over three weeks, tonight, May 11, through May 26 at Glasshouse, a unique art/performance space in Williamsburg, including five free performances open to the public.

On the heels of their successful production Brothers from the Bottom starring Wendell Pierce, a play about gentrification, The Billie Holiday Theatre (BHT) is pleased to announce the world premiere of Dancing on Eggshells by award-winning playwright Cynthia G. Robinson and directed by the Billie Holiday Theatre's own Cezar Williams.

Marc Bamuthi Joseph and the Living Word Project have combined rap, spirituals and dance to create an unforgettable show red, black, and GREEN: a blues (RbGb) that explores the challenges and ironies of an urban artist who gets deputized to help 'Green' an inner city that is already under siege from its traditional challenges, and perhaps the greatest challenge of all-gentrification. Because the show represents the fruit of four separate projects staged in four cities, it has the feel of an intimate travelogue.

The Billie Holiday Theatre kicks off its 42nd Season Generations United on October 19 with the World Premiere of Fati's Last Dance by France-Luce Benson and directed by the Theatre's Artistic Director Jackie Alexander. Previews begin Saturday, October 19 with the show running through Sunday, December 15 (Opening Night TBD). Performances are Thursdays-Saturdays at 8pm with matinees on Saturdays at 3pm and Sundays at 4pm. Woodie King Jr's New Federal Theatre, in association with Castillo Theatre, will present Plenty of Time by John Shevin Foster at the Castillo Theatre (543 West 42nd Street, between 10th and 11th Avenues.). Performances begin April 4th with Opening Night set for Thursday, April 18th. Performances continue through May 5th only.
