FEISTY WOMEN FESTIVAL Kicks Off WHAM! Women History Artist Month At Goddard Riverside 29th Street Playwrights Collective presents FEISTY WOMEN FESTIVAL, featuring short new plays about women, written by women playwrights, and directed by women on Thursday, March 1, at 7:30 at the Bernie Wohl Theater.

The festival kicks off a month celebration of women in the arts at Goddard Riverside called WHAM! Women History Artists Month, featuring music, art and theater performed and written by women.

The FEISTY WOMEN FESTIVAL features staged readings of work by Suzanne Willett, Robin Rice, Fengar Gael, Renee´ Flemings, Sharon E. Cooper, Cindy Cooper, Patricia Davis and Melissa Bell, directed by Jessica Bauman, Lucy Gram, Chelsea Anderson-Long and Rachael Murray.

The cast includes Jess Beveridge, William Clark, Cara Feuer, Sarah Kiefer*, Allison Linker, Gabrielle Maisels, Kyle Minshew*, Jared Mason Murray, Abigail Ramsay, Traci Tolmaire*, and Crystal L. Ward.

Proceeds will benefit the Goddard Riverside Performing Arts Summer Day Camp, which offers affordable professional training in theatrical arts to young people while fostering a sense of community and strength.

Last year's Future Is Female Festival sold out and this year's festival is expected to do the same.

THE 29th STREET PLAYWRIGHTS COLLECTIVE is an early development organization dedicated to developing the voices of emerging mature playwrights and gender parity in theatre.
