Back in 2015, I caught a solo performance play Mutant Olive, created and performed by Mitch Hara. I decided to speak with him about his revamped play, Mutant Olive 2.0, soon to begin performance at the Hudson Theatre in Hollywood, to ask about the new show, it’s title, and what’s been going on during the 8 years since Mutant Olive in its original form premiered.

Zeke Rettman and the Hudson Theatres has announced the return of writer/performer Mitch Hara with a newer and even more outrageous version of his hilarious, heart-wrenching, multiple award-winning signature play, Mutant Olive.

Lions Bay Productions will present DAUGHTER  OF THE WICKED, a new play written and performed by Shanit Keter Schwartz. Director Zeke  Rettman, who received the NAACP Award for “Best Direction” of the critically-acclaimed  production of Ragtime at The Hudson Theatre, will stage the original one-woman show. 

Lions Bay Productions announced today that it will present DAUGHTER OF THE WICKED, a new play written and performed by Shanit Keter Schwartz. Award-winning Actress/Playwright Shyam Bhatt returns with her critically acclaimed one-act, one-person play. At heart, it's a bittersweet story about the universal themes of grief, identity and sexuality, taken on with humor and poignancy. 

Mount Vernon, a play by Rena Brannan that enjoyed an acclaimed run at this year's Hollywood Fringe Festival, will return to the Hudson Guild for four weeks only, it was announced today. Directed by Peter Marc Jacobson and featuring Sophie Ward and Brandon Ruiter, Mount Vernon will play one preview performance on Friday, August 26 at 8pm and is set to open on Saturday, August 27. The limited engagement will run through September 18 only.

Rich Hippie Productions has announced that actor and writer Courtney Abbiati will bring her new comic solo show, No, I Won't Take You to the Airport!, directed by Ryan Weiss, to the Hudson Theatre Mainstage on Wednesdays at 8pm for eight weeks only beginning April 13. Opening is set for Wednesday, April 20 at 8pm, and the limited engagement will run through June 8 only.

After its critically acclaimed run at the Hudson Theatres this past February/March, the Hotel Astor opens its doors once again to Gloria Swanson (played by Kat Brower) and Tallulah Bankhead (played by Olivia Choate) who both come out of retirement for the return of Hollywood and Broadway, Gloria & Tallulah Talk! for four performances as Teatro De La O makes its "Fringe" debut with the 2015 Hollywood Fringe Festival.

Rising singer-songwriter Kaitlyn Baker celebrated her new contract with Silvercreek Records with a performance for members of the country music industry at Studio Instrument Rentals (S.I.R.) Nashville, on January 16. Scroll down for photos from the event!

The show will help kick off Music City USA's newest independent record label, Silvercreek Records, which is sponsoring the event along with Coors Light. Admission will be first-come, first-served.
