The 2021 George Street Playhouse streaming season kicks off today with the comedy Bad Dates by Theresa Rebeck, starring Drama Desk winner Andréa Burns.

The play, which follows the single mother of a teen daughter as she goes in search of cute shoes, the perfect dress, and a romantic table for two at a great restaurant, will be available for viewing through March 14th.

Andréa Burns (IN THE HEIGHTS, ON YOUR FEET, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, THE FULL MONTY) and Maulik Pancholy (IT’S ONLY A PLAY, “30 Rock,” “Weeds”) will headline New Jersey's George Street Playhouse 2021 season, starring in two hilarious full-length comedies audiences can stream at home.

July 11, 7 PM, as part of their nationally renowned New Play Readings, Dorset Theatre Festival presents director, writer, and translator, Royston Coppenger's exciting re-imagining of Henrik Ibsen's classic play- A Doll's House. Developed by acclaimed director John Gould Rubin, Coppenger and Rubin have found new resonance for our times in the play that astonished its audiences when first produced. Dorset Theatre Festival is excited to be able to support the art of translation, with this stunning new adaptation destined to please and entertain audiences for years to come.

59E59 Theaters has announced the NYC premiere of GIDION'S KNOT, written by Johnna Adams and directed by Austin Pendleton. GIDION'S KNOT begins performances tonight, February 20 for a limited engagement through Sunday, March 9. Press opening is Wednesday, February 26 at 7:30 PM.

The Bad Guys will feature Michael Braun (War Horse), Roe Hartrampf (Unnatural Acts), James McMenamin (Suicide, Incorporated), Tobias Segal (The Miracle Worker) and Raviv Ullman (Russian Transport). Opening night is tonight, June 4th.
