Miami's City Theatre, now in its 18th year of their renowned Summer Shorts Festival, will spread its wings in a new collaboration with Island City Stage to bring an evening of hilarious and provocative short plays.

Inspired by the true story of the South Florida-based band, "China Doll", UNRAVELING bravely tells a story of self-discovery as seen through the eyes of three siblings after surviving a disturbing and abusive childhood. As they struggle to bind themselves together through their mutual love of music, their love for each other is put to the test, as is everything they think they know about how to love.

"Our 2012 season is comprised of three world premieres: one by David Michael Sirois and two by Mark Della Ventura. We wanted to put together an evening of short plays written by these two amazing playwrights to show our audience a sample of the exciting things happening this season," says Producing Artistic Director Adalberto J. Acevedo.
