Interview: Kimberly Oliver of BROADWAY ON A TUESDAY: RELOADED at Alexandre's Bar


The local, fan-favorite Broadway cabaret series Broadway on a Tuesday is back and bigger than before! Broadway on a Tuesday was first onstage at Alexandre's in August 2016, with Ms. Oliver and singers from the DFW Theatre Community rotating weekly and will be back at Alexandre's on Tuesday, January 10th, 2023. I sat down with Florida-based Kimberly Oliver to discuss some of the biggest news coming to the DFW theatre community in 2023.

Theatre Three Announces 'Fund The Music, Man' Initiative and More


From April 26-30, Theatre Three will release a series of content specifically geared towards their upcoming production of Imagine Broadway on May 1 at 7:00 PM and ultimately, Meredith Willson's The Music Man directed by Joel Ferrell and music directed by Vonda K. Bowling! Theatre Three Announces Exclusive New Show IMAGINE BROADWAY


Theatre Three announces an addition to their 2019-20 lineup, an upbeat musical revue fundraiser titled IMAGINE BROADWAY: A THEATRE THREE EXCLUSIVE. Directed by Michael Serrecchia and music directed by Mark Mullino, IMAGINE BROADWAY runs for three performances only, January 30-February 1, 2020. Season ticket holders can contact the box office immediately to reserve seats. Single tickets go on sale Friday, November 29.

Dark Circles Contemporary Dance Presents PETE: A NEW DANCE MUSICAL


The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center and Dark Circles Contemporary Dance announced today that tickets for Pete: A New Dance Musical are ON SALE NOW!  Conceived and choreographed by internationally award-winning choreographer and founder of Dark Circles Joshua L. Peugh and inspired by J.M. Barrie's iconic novel Peter Pan, Pete: A New Dance Musical will run from September 12 through September 15, 2019 in Hamon Hall located in the Winspear Opera House in the downtown Dallas Arts District.

Dallas' newest musical, The Manufactured Myth of Eveline Flynn debuts tonight on the mainstage at Theatre Three. The musical is written by locals Ian Ferguson (music and lyrics) and Michael Federico (book) and runs January 31st-February 24th. Complete Casting Announced for AIDA at The Firehouse Theatre


This September, The Firehouse Theatre will present Elton John and Time Rice's AIDA, directed by Artistic Director, Derek Whitener. The heart wrenching pop-rock musical about an imprisoned Nubian princess will open on September 7th in the old Farmers Branch Firehouse, with performances running through September 23rd. The cast is made up of Diane and Hal Brierley Resident Acting Company Members Ace Anderson (Inherit the Wind, Public Works Dallas The Tempest, A Christmas Carol 2016) as Hud and Tiana Kaye Johnson (HOOD: The Robin Hood Musical Adventure, ELECTRA, A CHRISTMAS CAROL 2016) as Sheila. In addition, the cast includes Monique Abry as Crissy, Kia Nicole Boyer as Jeanie, Jaime Cepero (NBC'S SMASH) as Claude, Ayanna Edwards (DREAMGIRLS) as Dionne, Chris Peluso (London's MISS SAIGON, Broadway's WICKED) as Berger and Christopher Llewyn Ramirez (HOOD: The Robin Hood Musical Adventure) as Woof. The Firehouse Theatre (2016 BWW Award for Best Theatrical Venue under 500 Seats) in Farmers Branch, TX, unveils their big summer musical of Pippin, by Steven Schwartz and Roger O. Hirson. Pippin was originally directed for the Broadway stage in 1972 by Bob Fosse, and the 2013 Broadway revival earned 4 Tony awards including Best Musical Revival. The Firehouse Theatre will present their summer musical in a Big Top Circus presentation, similar to the style of the Broadway Revival production, including aerial performers, magic tricks, and death defying acts!
