A limited 'sneak peek' run of Gentleman-George Production's ORRY will begin November 1, 2019 at The Lee Strasberg Theatre. Writer/performer Nick Hardcastle has adapted Oscar-winning costume designer Orry-Kelly's memoirs Women I've Dressed for a ninety-minute stage production (directed by Wayne Harrison) incorporating music, dance, vaudeville, puppetry, special effects and some of Orry-Kelly's award--winning creations. I had the chance to ask a few questions of Nick, in between his many, many responsibilities - theatrical and otherwise.

Naomi Watts to be Honored at Australians in Film Awards


Academy Award nominated-actress Naomi Watts will receive the 2019 Orry-Kelly Award at the Australians in Film's (AiF) 8th Annual AiF Awards Gala and Benefit Dinner, an annual fundraising event celebrating Australian talent in the entertainment industry. Tim Minchin to Receive Qantas Australians in Film's Orry-Kelly Award


The multi-talented Tim Minchin will be honored with the Qantas Orry-Kelly Award which celebrates an Australian who has contributed to the national identity of Australia with their body of work and has created opportunities and inspiration for other Australians internationally.

Museum of Fine Arts, Houston to Host 20th Annual QFest, 7/21-24


From Thursday, July 21, to Sunday, July 24, Houston will host the 20th annual QFest, a LGBTQ film festival programmed by artistic director Kristian Salinas, with screenings in venues throughout the city. This year, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, screens six films examining familial bonds and connections, a recurring theme in this year's festival. Selections also include a tribute to Italian filmmaker Liliana Cavani, director of The Skin, an Italian war film, and The Night Porter, which follows the story of a former concentration camp victim who encounters a previous abuser.
