The highly anticipated stage adaptation of George Orwell's Animal Farm arrives on the Belgrade Theatre's Main Stage next month. Adapted and directed by the multi award-winning Robert Ike (Mary Stuart, 1984), the classic satirical fable comes to Coventry from Tues 12 – Sat 16 April.

The brand-new production embarked on an extensive UK tour, running at Birmingham Rep from 22 January 2022 then touring to Cambridge, Newcastle, Bath, Norwich, Salford, Plymouth, Nottingham, Coventry, Blackpool, Liverpool, Canterbury, Richmond and Wolverhampton, completing its run on 28 May 2022 at Bromley’s Churchill Theatre.

After a week of extended performances, the second UK and international touring company of the Tony-Award winning play WAR HORSE must close its Hong Kong leg today, June 2, 2019, at the Lyric Theatre of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts--the venue was packed to the rafters when we watched it last Tuesday, May 28, 2019.

The National Theatre of Great Britain's critically-acclaimed 2007 stage production of 'War Horse,' which inspired Steven Spielberg's 2011 war drama film of the same name, extends its limited engagement at the Lyric Theatre, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (1 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai). Acting as a Design Consultant on What the Ladybird Heard Live is my first experience of theatre design, and I was thrilled to be asked by Kenny Wax to be involved. I was teamed up with Bek Palmer, a fantastic theatre designer, and together we came up with ideas for translating my illustrations to the stage, which Bek then brilliantly transformed into a reality.

With the Easter holidays now behind us, there's only a few short weeks until May Half-Term comes around the corner. The Belgrade Theatre is offering up some theatrical delights to keep families entertained during the holiday including bear hunting and mask making!

From the award-winning writers of the international smash hits Mary Poppins and Honk! comes a 'great big little West End show' for audiences of three years and up. The tour opens at Eastbourne's Devonshire Park Theatre on 2 August before heading to Cambridge Arts Theatre and Bristol's Colston Hall.
