On Monday, March 10, 2014, the League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW), a not-for-profit organization committed to promoting visibility and increasing opportunities for women in the professional theatre, is pleased to recognize the talents of six outstanding women: Zoe Caldwell, Judith Dolan, Joanna Sherman, Sondra Gorney, Meiyin Wang and Katherine Kovner. The awards will be presented at the League's 2014 Awards Celebration & Big Mingle Reception to be held at 6:30 pm on Monday, March 10 at The Irene Diamond Stage (The Pershing Square Signature Center, 480 West 42nd Street) featuring emcee Tamara Tunie.

Andrew Goffman's Off-Broadway hit comedy, 'THE ACCIDENTAL PERVERT,' has been extended for the fifth time.

After considerable critical and audience acclaim, after being extended three times at The Players Theatre where it played for 18 months and 180 sold-out performances, after moving to the THIRTEENTH STREET THEATRE ( 50 West 13th Street - between Fifth and Sixth Avenues) where it will play through December 2011 with an option to continue through 2012, 'THE ACCIDENTAL PERVERT' Andrew Goffman's hilarious tour-de-force-of-honesty will open a second company in Argentina at the ND/Ateneo in Buenos Aires' Cultural Center.

Borrowing myth and storytelling from east and west to fuse Japanese Bunraku-inspired puppetry with magical realism, Jen Silverman's odyssey of a Japanese-American girl's quest to rescue her brother's soul from the Land of the Dead, Crane Story directed by Katherine Kovner, will have its world premiere presented by The Playwrights Realm at The Cherry Lane Theatre, 38 Commerce Street, when previews begin Thursday, September 6, at 8:00pm for an opening Thursday, September 15, at 8:00pm.
