The Abbey Theatre presents the return of Dublin Fringe box office hit A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings, created by award-winning company Collapsing Horse. Based on a short story by Colombian writer Gabriel García Márquez, this will be a show for all ages this Christmas season, brought to vivid life on stage using music, puppetry, and live video projection.

This year's Dublin Theatre Festival programme reflects with many contemporary topics - but also reaches beyond, to a poetic enquiry about the times we live in. Over three weeks performances include 10 World Premieres, reimagined classic texts, inspiring international projects from Australia, Belgium Estonia, Portugal, Sweden, the UK and the USA, and an expanded season of Theatre for Children.

THE COUNTRY GIRLS by Edna O'Brien will run at Chichester's Minerva Theatre from 9 June - 8 July, with a press night on 1 June, directed by Lisa Blair.

The 8th annual Origin's 1st Irish Festival is announcing today that two productions from Ireland -- "Pondling" and "Little Thing, Big Thing" (both at 59E59 Theaters), and one from New York -- "Stoopdreamer" at the cell -- each attracted five nominations for the festival's top honors, which will be handed out an Awards Ceremony co-hosted by the Broadway actress Geraldine Hughes at Scandinavia House, 58 Park Avenue, on Monday September 28 at 7pm. The Festival continues through Sunday October 4.

Pondling, directed by Paul Meade is on the 59E59 stage through October 4th. Written by Genevieve Hulme-Beaman and starring Hulme-Beaman, this one-woman show is extraordinary.

Part of Origin's 1st Irish Theatre Festival, PONDLING begins performances on Tuesday, September 8 for a limited engagement through Sunday, October 4.  Press opening is Sunday, September 13 at 7:30 PM.  The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:30 PM; Friday at 8:30 PM; Saturday at 2:30 PM & 8:30 PM; and Sunday at 3:30 PM & 7:30 PM.
