The worlds of opera and film collide as the Canadian Opera Company present a special avant-première screening of Atom Egoyan's Seven Veils at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts on Friday, September 8 at 7 p.m. 

Douglas Smith (Big Little Lies, Don’t Worry Darling), Mark O’Brien (Perry Mason, Arrival), Rebecca Liddiard (Alias Grace, Run This Town) and Vinessa Antoine (Diggstown, Ginny & Georgia) have been cast opposite Amanda Seyfried (The Dropout, Mank, Les Misérables) in SEVEN VEILS, a new feature film from acclaimed filmmaker Atom Egoya.

The UK premiere of a multi-award winning Canadian play, recently made into a film, The Swearing Jar is a comedy about love, heartbreak, living with the past and accepting the future.

According to Deadline, actor Douglas Smith is set to join the cast of HBO's BIG LITTLE LIES when it returns its second season. He will play a new character named Corey Brockfield, who works with Shailene Woodley's Jane. He joins season two with the previously announced Meryl Streep.
