The 24th season of the Adirondack Theatre Festival will feature the nostalgia-filled dramatic comedy The Jedi Handbook. The show will open at the Charles R. Wood Theater, located at 207 Glen Street in downtown Glens Falls, and run from July 21st-27th, with a preview on July 20th. Performances will start at 7:30pm and will include a matinee on Wednesday, July 25th. Shakespeare & Company's Northeast Regional Tour of Shakespeare returns to the Tina Packer Playhouse for Shakespeare's Birthday Celebration. Join the Company on Saturday, April 21 at 7pm as they celebrate the Bard's birthday with a rousing 90-minute performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream, followed by a reception with the artists, and birthday cake! 

Shakespeare & Company's Northeast Regional Tour of Shakespeare is now on the road. This year, the Company's Tour brings two Shakespeare productions, Othello, the Moor of Venice and A Midsummer Night's Dream, to over 20,000 students. The Tour visits 75 schools throughout the Northeast in nine different states including; Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Maryland.

This magical favorite, presented by Shakespeare & Company's Northeast Regional Education Tour and Riotous Youth Faculty, runs from July 11 to August 19, 2017.

William Shakespeare's hilarious farce, The Comedy of Errors is playing at the Tina Packer Playhouse at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, Ma. and Broadwayworld attended a performance. Director Taibi Magar delivers a whirlwind of magic, music and mayhem in the rollicking production of Shakespeare's shortest comedy. Performances run through August 23.

In MOTHER COURAGE AND HER CHILDREN, Olympia Dukakis delivers a searing performance in its title role. Dukakis is more than just a masterful actor, she delivers a Mother Courage who is strong, sassy and simply astonishing in her complexity. The entire ensemble of sixteen actors raises the reputation of Shakespeare & Company - already renowned for its lush, intelligible renditions of the Bard's greatest works - to new heights.

The play follows the fate of Mother Courage, an artful canteen woman with the Swedish Army, intent on keeping her business and family alive amidst the destruction of war. Written by Bertolt Brecht, directed by Artistic Director Tony Simotes and starring Academy Award-winner Olympia Dukakis, this play still resonates today providing a profound insight into the moral implications of war. MOTHER COURAGE AND HER WOMEN runs tonight, July 26 - August 25, in S&Co.'s Tina Packer Playhouse.

With classic wordplay to delight the intellect, and on-stage farcical situations to provoke the belly laughs, THE LIAR at Shakespeaere & Company is welcome relief from the Winter storms in the currently dormant Berkshires of Massachusetts. It runs until March 24 in Lenox, MA.

Following last winter's wildly successful run of Molière's The Learned Ladies, a hilarious French farce will once again heat up the Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre in February and March at Shakespeare & Company. This year, a talented ensemble of Company artists will take on award-winning playwright David Ives's (Venus in Fur, All in the Timing) razor sharp and rib-tickling adaptation of Pierre Corneille's classic farce, The Liar, running from February 1 through March 24. The production is directed by founding member Kevin G. Coleman, the critically acclaimed director of The Memory of Water (2011) and The Winter's Tale (2010), among many others.
