Sometimes we just want to get away. We all have our reasons for wanting a bit of peace and quiet in the middle of nowhere but being cut off from the rest of the world isn't necessarily a solution to life's problems. Ali Milles' new thriller The Croft follows two stories across multiple timelines that take place in a croft conversion in the west highlands of Scotland.

Abrons Arts Center and The Chocolate Factory Theater, proudly co-present the world premiere of Distances Smaller Than This Are Not Confirmed, a powerful new multi-disciplinary performance co-created by Tony-nominated choreographer David Neumann and New York theater artist Marcella Murray of Advanced Beginner Group, produced by Advanced Beginner Group, and associate produced by Mabou Mines. In Distances Smaller, David and Marcella create a staged conversation of intimate scale on the set of a TV talk show (more PBS than The View) where they unpack their several-years-long dialogue about race alongside astronomical questions of scale and time.

A multiple Tony Award-winning musical, Assassins combines Sondheim's brilliant lyricism and rich music in a revue-style tale addressing our nation's culture of celebrity and the violent means taken to obtain it. Clever, original, dark, and surprisingly funny, Assassins is perhaps Sondheim's most controversial musical.

Princeton Summer Theater's critically acclaimed 2015 season continues next week with a double feature of The Actor's Nightmare by Christopher Durang and The Real Inspector Hound by Tom Stoppard. The comedic one-acts open next Thursday at the Hamilton Murray Theater on Princeton University's Campus.

"Can you fall in love if you don't know what love is?" That question is the central theme in the new play, (a love story), playing as part of the Source Festival.  Playwright Kelly Lusk has woven an intricate look at the lives of three couples, who seemingly are unrelated. The impetus of which is the question of "do you know what love is?" You have the popular high school girl in love with the emo-loner, two gay teenagers awakening their feelings, and an older couple who meet and fall in love through on-line anonymity.

Those grappling with financial difficulties - or blessings - have a new resource to turn to, thanks to Richard Knapp, an ordained minister and a physician. In this new book, Knapp shares stories and scripture designed to give people a boost in their faith for finances. Drawing on Isaiah 12:3, Knapp compares God's provisions for prosperity to a functional well dug deep, providing for both the diggers and those around them. Building faith for finances, Knapp writes, will lead readers to be heroes in their stewardship of God's blessings.

Universal Partnerships & Licensing today announced it has entered into a representation agreement with Pretty Ugly, LLC, the creators of the popular Uglydoll brand, to expand the digital category of the imaginative Uglydoll world, or "Uglyverse." Universal will launch interactive and wireless content, such as apps, games, widgets and virtual goods. A feature film based on the Uglydoll characters is currently in development at Illumination Entertainment, Universal Pictures' main supplier of family and animated films. The film will be produced by Illumination founder Chris Meledandri (Despicable Me, Hop, Dr. Seuss' The Lorax), and distributed worldwide by Universal.
