Rom Com Fest, a new Los Angeles based film festival which celebrates love through film and experiences, announced the lineup for its inaugural festival which will take place June 20-23, 2019. The lineup includes special themed screenings of iconic romantic comedies, as well as a competition lineup of new romantic comedies, and a number of unique themed events and activities. The program was announced today by the festival's Founder and Executive Director Miraya Berke.
Following the announcement of their Opening Night Film, Yen Tan's award-winning AIDS drama 1985, NewFest today announced the full lineup of their 30th annual celebration of the year's best LGBT films from around the world. The program of more than 140 narrative features, documentaries, episodic series and shorts runs from October 24-30 at the SVA Theatre, Cinépolis Chelsea, and The LGBT Community Center in New York City.

Mary's Attic will be filled with music, dance, and fairies of all kinds, as BITE retells one of the Bard's beloved love stories through a queer lens.

Teagan Walsh-Davis (Co-Artistic Director), Caitlin Aase (Co-Artistic Director), and Elizabeth Siedt (Managing Director) have announced the official launch of THE JADES, a new woman-centric theatre company dedicated to establishing gender parity on Chicago stages. They will focus on producing what they call "Theatre for Dangerous Women", specifically contemporary works by female-identified playwrights, as well as employing women in all aspects of the theatrical process. Their inaugural production will mount in October 2016. Further information about that production and the remainder of the season are set to be announced soon.
