REWRITES - the showcase for new musicals started by The Lowry, Salford in 2017 will present Nel's Place - a new musical from Sheep Soup. Nel's Place examines what material things really mean to us, and how easily we can become buried by the past.

It just wouldn’t be the festive season without The Liverpool Everyman Rock ‘n’ Roll Pantomime - and it’s easy to see why this beloved show has audiences returning year after year.

BWW catches up with  Ben Welch, writer and performer of House of Life to chat about bringing the show to the 2023 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

One-part sermon, one-part purge, three-parts party, House of Life is a travelling musical cult collective hosted by the camp and glitter clad RaveRend with one mission - to make the audience happy, at any cost.

Written by sisters Nicola and Stacey Bland, Call Me Vicky is a debut play based entirely on a true story. This hard-hitting, comic production charts Vicky's transition from male to female in a time that was far less understanding than the world we live in today. This poignant play stars Wendi Peters (Coronation Street, ITV; Hetty Feather, BBC; Quartet, UK Tour; Hatched 'n' Dispatched, Park Theatre; White Christmas, Dominion Theatre) as Sylvie.

It's Party Time at the Acropolis as the world premiere of MYTHIC, the acclaimed new pop musical, is extending its run at London's Charing Cross Theatre by 3 weeks to 15 December. 

Final casting is announced today for the world premiere of MYTHIC, a new pop musical which gets its world premiere at London's Charing Cross Theatre.

Based on the 1993 Disney film of the same name, "Newsies" follows a group of Newsboys at the beginning of the 20th century who take on Pulitzer and the World Newspaper and win. The Newsies are led by a dreamer name Jack who falls in love with a young reporter named Katherine who may not be all she appears to be.

Following a sold-out run at Leicester's Curve Theatre, the critically acclaimed production now heads out on a UK tour, stopping in Coventry today 24 and Saturday 26 May.
