The Old Globe today announced that the West Coast premiere of Laurel Ollstein's They Promised Her the Moon has been extended by popular demand and will run through May 12, 2019. The first of two shows in the 2018-2019 Season developed in the Globe's Powers New Voices Festival, it wowed Festival audiences with the story of the powerful forces that kept one woman from reaching orbit. Directed by Giovanna Sardelli (the Globe's The Whipping Man and Somewhere), They Promised Her the Moon runs April 6 - May 12, 2019 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run April 6-10. 

Season two of Disney Channel's hit comedy series 'Raven's Home' is set to premiere with a week of four new episodes, beginning MONDAY, JUNE 25 - THURSDAY, JUNE 28 (9:30-10:00 a.m. EDT/PDT), on Disney Channel, in the DisneyNOW app and on Disney Channel VOD. It's finally here! In what is sure to be one of the most highly rated events on television this spring, the final two American Idol contestants battled one final time tonight to earn the title of America's favorite performer. And let's hope viewers were prepared for a whole lot of twang, because tonight's season ten finale of the show was nothing if not a little bit country.

It's getting down to the nitty gritty in Idol-land, with the season ten finale three mere weeks away. Three weeks! Where has the tie gone? While the bunch that's left certainly isn't the top five that I would have picked out, it's very difficult not to feel totally invested in their fates considering that I've been writing about their every move since January. I just love these kids!

Down to just nine performers, American Idol's remaining contestants have proven week after week that they make up perhaps the most talented bunch of finalists in the show's 10 season history. No complaints there, but such a statistic also means that even excellent performances tonight could warrant a ticket home.

Season ten of American Idol has introduced many welcomed changes that have revamped the show for the better. As previously announced this year, this time around we won't see the contestants tackle artist specific challenges as much as we will genre centric themes. Only five times in the show's history have Idol finalists gone retro with the sounds of Motown (not since season eight), and tonight they got to tackle the classic music yet again.
