Halloween is my favorite holiday to dress up in costume and become someone or something else. (This year I was a T-REX). For theater folks costumes are just a part of the job. And for some, costumes are apart of daily life.

Check out the video!

Orlando Shakespeare Theater has its own costume shop. Most costumes are made by hand in house. I met with Yao Chen, Costume Designer for DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE, to discuss her creative process and how costumes play a vital role in an actor's performance. It is very interesting stuff. If you've ever wondered how costumes go from idea to "in the real," then check out my video feature below.

There's still time to catch DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE runs, which at Orlando Shakespeare Theater until November 13th. For tickets and more information visit orlandoshakes.org.
