Written and performed by Ms. Burrows, BULLETPROOF UNICORN has a creative team that includes Peabody Award-winning Greg Walloch (“Homecoming King”) as Story Developer, director Elina de Santos (In the Valley of the Shadow), and scenic and lighting designer Vickie Scott (Edward Snowden Single at the New Ohio). The show is produced by Teri Ball (Center Stage Theater Executive Director). Sophie Lynd is the Production Stage Manager. Tickets to BULLETPROOF UNICORN are $25 and are available through OvationTix (https://web.ovationtix.com/trs/pe.c/11236154). Visit www.bulletproofunicorn.com.
Armed with nothing but glitter and good intentions, Stacie Burrows went to Texas to fix everything that was wrong with her dysfunctional family, inadvertently placing her kids in the line of fire. Lovers of dark humour will appreciate the punchy way she describes how her misguided intent to help her estranged, alcoholic brother went way off the rails. Stacie gets caught in a web of helpfulness in this harrowing, yet hilarious, true tale of her brush with death as she battles religious zealots, drunks with guns, and far too many dead dogs.
