Primary Stages has announced the fourth production of their upcoming 29th Season: A new production of their 1995 Obie Award-winning THE MODEL APARTMENT by Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies.

Primary Stages is thrilled to revisit our acclaimed 1995 OBIE Award winner, The Model Apartment, by Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies (Shipwrecked!, Time Stands Still, Dinner with Friends, Sight Unseen). When Max and Lola, two Holocaust survivors from Brooklyn, retire to Florida, they find their new condo unfinished and are forced to spend the night in a "model apartment" where things are not always as they seem. In this brilliant and bizarre Drama Desk-nominated black comedy, Max and Lola soon realize that if they ever want to truly "retire," they must first confront the demons of their past.

When fifteen-year-old Lottie and her ne'er-do-well mother Donna drop in unannounced on the beautiful Sag Harbor home of Donna's brother and his new husband, all hell breaks loose. The bonds between kith and kin are tested in this alternately biting and touching comedy about the constantly shifting nature of the meaning of family. Harbor is from playwright Chad Beguelin, the author/lyricist ofBroadway's The Wedding Singer and the lyricist for Elf; and Mark Lamos, the director of Primary Stages hits Black Tie, Indian Bloodand Buffalo Gal.

The World Premiere of a new play from the creators of Broadway's Lombardi and the director of Primary Stages hit String of Pearls.The Bronx Bombers, (initially announced under the Working Title The Yankees) tells the generational story of a most extraordinary baseball family, and the game itself. Follow the revered New York Yankees Yogi Berra as he struggles to keep the focus on the team, transgressing the tricky world of dreams, celebrity, and the ever-changing landscape of this beloved American pastime.

Primary Stages is pleased to welcome back our favorite farceur Charles Busch, the author of Primary Stages' hits You Should Be So Lucky and Olive and the Bitter Herbs, and Broadway's The Tale of the Allergist's Wife. This new comedy featuring Mr. Busch himself as an out-of-work female impersonator who, when his elderly landlady dies in her sleep, takes on her identity in order to hang on to her valuable Greenwich Village townhouse. This "perfect" scheme goes awry and leads to a wild path of twists and reversals plotted by an eccentric rogues gallery of outrageous schemers. Expect Busch's signature blend of quick-witted banter and genderbending hijinks in this new play written specifically for Primary Stages from the master of Off-Broadway farce.

THE FINAL TWO PRODUCTIONS OF Primary Stages 28TH SEASON:

The 20th anniversary revival of ALL IN THE TIMING by David Ives runs through April 28. Directed by Tony Award-winner John Rando (Urinetown; A Christmas Story, The Musical), the production features Eric Clem (Blue Man Group), Carson Elrod (Peter and the Starcatcher), Jenn Harris (Silence! The Musical), Liv Rooth (Venus in Fur), and Matthew Saldivar (Peter and the Starcatcher).

A hit with audiences and critics alike, Ben Brantley of The New York Times calls All in the Timing "one of the zestier plates of theatrical tapas to be had" and names the production a "Critics' Pick" while Jennifer Farrar of The Associated Press calls it "wordplay and wit...with perfect timing." Primary Stages and Playwrights Horizons have recently announced an extension of their World Premiere co-production of THE CALL, a new play by Tanya Barfield (Blue Door at Playwrights Horizons/PH). The limited engagement at Playwrights Horizons' Peter Jay Sharp Theater (416 West 42nd Street) will now run through Sunday, May 26.

Directed by two-time Obie Award winner Leigh Silverman (Go Back to Where You Are and Blue Door at PH; Hunting and Gathering at Primary Stages/PS; Golden Child, Chinglish, Well, In the Wake), THE CALL features Kelly AuCoin (Happy Now?, Boy, The Two of Us at PS,Radiance, Julius Caesar), Tony Award nominee Kerry Butler (Xanadu, Gore Vidal's The Best Man, Catch Me If You Can, Hairspray), Obie Award winner Eisa Davis (This at PH, Luck of the Irish, Passing Strange, "Damages"), Theatre World Award winner Crystal A.
