Due to demand, a one-week extension has been announced for The Wildness: Sky-Pony's Rock Fairy Tale, presented by Ars Nova in collaboration with The Play Company. Originally set to play through March 19, this world premiere production will now play a limited Off-Broadway engagement through March 26 at Ars Nova (511 West 54th Street). This new work, with text by Obie Award winner Kyle Jarrow and Lauren Worsham and songs by Kyle Jarrow, is directed by Tony Award nominee Sam Buntrock and choreographed by Chase Brock. The Wildness: Sky-Pony's Rock Fairy Tale features David Blasher, Lilli Cooper, Jeffrey Fernandes, Katie Lee Hill, Kyle Jarrow, Jamie Mohamdein, Sharone Sayegh, Lauren Worsham (Drama Desk Award winner and Tony Award nominee) and Kevin Wunderlich. Previews began February 16 and the show celebrated its Official Opening Night on Monday, February 29.

Another year has come and gone and it's time for a ritualistic look into The Wildness. Come dispel doubts and fears for the year ahead with indie-pop band Sky-Pony, who share their fever dream take on a rock fairy tale about two girls raised to believe they must never venture into the dark woods, and what happens when they do.

Conceived by Brooklyn-based band Sky-Pony, with original text by Kyle Jarrow and Lauren Worsham, and songs by Mr. Jarrow, The Wildness expands their trademark rock concert/performance art/burlesque style into new territory. Teaming up with director Sam Buntrock and a multi-media design team, members of the real band, along with guest performers, create a raucous ride exploring faith, doubt and the wild space in between.

The Village Voice declares, "a rock 'n' roll rite of passage...belted with passion and verve," and Theatermania cheers, "Lilli Cooper and Lauren Worsham make for a mesmerizing pair of heroes. The Wildness just may be the most delightful cult meeting you'll ever attend." The New York Times remarks, "a pulsing rock ritual to dispel the doubts that plague early adulthood."

This production includes Choreography by Chase Brock (Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark), Scenic Design by Kris Stone, Costume Design by Tilly Grimes (Eager to Lose), Lighting Design by Brian Tovar (Drama Desk nominee: tamar of the river), Sound Design by Tim O'Heir (Tony Award nominee: Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Projection Design by Alex Basco Koch (Buyer & Cellar), Props Design by Sara Morgan and Music Direction by Wiley DeWeese.

The Wildness: Sky-Pony's Rock Fairy Tale plays through March 26 as follows: Monday - Saturday at 8:00pm, with select Fridays at 7:00pm and 10:00pm. Regular tickets through March 19 are $35 and premium tickets are $55. Special late-night $10@10 performances continue on Friday, March 11 at 10:00pm; all tickets are $10.
