He's a pot-head. She's a drunk. This aging hippie couple attempts to hold on to their bohemian roots while dealing with the impending sale of their Upper West Side apartment building as well as the deadly familiarity of their own relationship. HAL & BEE is a play about love, addiction, and (possibly) growing old together.

Ian Poake (The Bug Man) is an actor from the suburbs of Philadelphia who now resides in Brooklyn with his wonderful girlfriend and two cats. He is an artistic associate of Stable Cable, with whom he has performed on stage in Max Baker's The Conspiracists & Live from the Surface of the Moon, and Lindsay Joy's In the Event of My Death, directed by Padraic Lillis. Other credits include the award-winning The Floor is Lava by Alex Riad, directed by Jessica O'Hara Baker (The Farm Theater); The March of the Bonus Army by Isaac Rathbone, directed by Cindy Rosenthal (Oracle Theater Co.); multiple comedic short films with The Focus Group and Well Dang! Productions; and a handful of commercial spots for Stainmaster, MLB and Delta Airlines, and the NHL. He is an embarrassingly avid fantasy sports player and he loves comic books.
