A neurotic actor is obsessed with two things; finding his birth mother and playing Hamlet. His twin fixations collide when he tracks down Anna, a reclusive former actress-turned-barfly. Gripped by the notion that she might be his mother, he lures her into a noirish production of Hamlet playing the role of the queen, his mother.

Playwright/actor Michael Laurence talks about HAMLET IN BED, now playing at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theater with co-star Annette O'Toole and hosts Patrick Hinds and Mike Jensen of Theater People.

The mission of Rattlestick Playwrights Theater is to provide a positive, nurturing experience for emerging playwrights, to present diverse and challenging plays that otherwise might not be produced and to foster the future voices of American theater.
