Paint You Wagon (1951) is a Lerner & Loewe classic set in Northern California in 1853 where Ben Rumson (Paul Carlin) and his daughter Jennifer (Jillian Louis) accidentally discover gold. As Rumson Town fills with hard-bitten miners, young Jennifer's feminine prese nce creates a discomfort only minimally relieved when a Mormon, Jacob Woodling (Paul Woodson), and his two wives (Michelle Pruiett and CrystAl Mosser) arrive.

Persuaded to "share the wealth" in order to acquire a grub stake, Woodling agrees to auction off the less favored wife. Jennifer is sent "back East" to school and her innocent love affair with the town's only Mexican, Julio, (Jaime Zatrain) is unable to flourish. She returns to a ghost town, a father abandoned by his purchased wife and the patient Julio. A simpler existence is in the offing until Ben is struck with gold fever one last time. While Rumson was flourishing, the raucous saloon was run by Jake (Ted Bouton) with the help of Cherry (Gina Milo) and her girls and the general store was run by Steve (Eli Budwill).

Other denizens of Rumson include Roger Rifkin, Bill Coyne, Jacob L. Smith, Andrew Hubacher, Mark Brown and Danny Gardner.

Songs include: I Talk to the Trees; They Call the Wind Maria; I Still See Elisa; I See a
