Lincoln Center Theater's Platform Series, a forum for public discussion between Lincoln Center Theater artists and interested theatergoers, opens its 16th season on Wednesday, October 23 at 5:30 pm with Bruce Norris and Anna D. Shapiro, the playwright and director of the new play DOMESTICATED.

Platform Series events take place in the early evening in the lobby of the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65th Street). Admission is free and open to all; however, seating in the lobby is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis only, beginning at a half hour before the talk. Bruce Norris' new play DOMESTICATED, commissioned by Lincoln Center Theater, is about politics and gender involving a husband and wife (Jeff Goldblum and Laurie Metcalf) whose marriage is upended when they become embroiled in a scandal.

Bruce Norris won the Tony Award, Pulitzer Prize for Drama as well as London's Olivier and Evening Standard Awards for his play Clybourne Park. His other works include A Parallelogram, The Unmentionables, The Pain and the Itch, We All Went Down To Amsterdam, Purple Heart, and The Infidel. His work has been produced at Playwrights Horizons, Woolly Mammoth Theatre, Lookingglass Theatre and the Philadelphia Theatre Company.

Anna D. Shapiro directed Bruce Norris' A Parallelogram, The Unmentionables, The Pain and the Itch, Purple Heart andThe Infidel. Winner of the Tony Award for her direction of August: Osage County, her other NY credits include the Broadway production of The Motherfucker with the Hat.

LCT's next platform is scheduled for Thursday, December 19 at 6:00 pm with actors Jeff Goldblum and Laurie Metcalf, who head the cast of DOMESTICATED.
