'The Golden Bride' will be returning this summer for a two-month engagement - twice as long as our original Off-Broadway run! The National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene is in the midst of a multi-faceted crowdfunding campaign to raise 30K in 30 Days to help support the return of this lost-now-found Yiddish-American operetta. You can contribute here on RocketHub AND/OR you can also send us a check or make a pledge by phone.

One of the characters of THE GOLDEN BRIDE, "Kalmen" (played by Adam Shapiro of HBO's "Normal Heart"), has become the face of the 30K in 30 Days campaign. He's trying to make matches for potential contributors with three hilarious videos where he provides his Top 10 list. Watch the videos below, and click here to learn more about donating!

It only takes $10 to be a "Supporting Producer" of The Golden Bride and help make its return engagement as robust and meaningful as possible. Every contribution helps to put this show back on the New York stage and continue to share this Golden-Age Operetta with future generations. It's up to you, who put the Folks in Folksbiene ("People's Stage" in Yiddish) to help make this epic encore a reality.

'The Golden Bride', first staged in 1923, during the Golden Age of Yiddish Theatre, packed houses on 2nd Avenue into the '40s. This enchanting Yiddish operetta (with English & Russian supertitles) was lost to history...until December 2015, when after a decades-long restoration process, it was revived by the country's oldest non-profit theatre company, National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene at the Museum of Jewish Heritage. Tickets went fast, critical acclaim piled on (including NY Times cover story and Critics' Pick), and after the closing performance, pleas to "bring it back" poured in. So, in response to public demand, we're planning a remount of 'The Golden Bride' July 4 - August 28, 2016 and we're asking for your help to do so!
