Virginia Stage Company invites all to experience a modern-day kind of romance as they celebrate love and humor in their production of Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune. This Broadway play written by Terrence McNally reveals the intimacy of two people falling in love.

VSC will present this contemporary romance, directed by Artistic Director Chris Hanna, as the final production for their 35th season. Hanna will use all the conventions of the stage to allow audience members to witness and experience the journey of two people navigating through the insecurities of modern romance over a single night. This production contains nudity and adult content.

Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune will run from today, April 1st through April 20th 2014. The Public Dress Rehearsal Performance will be held on Sunday, March 30th. Preview Performances run Tuesday, April 1st at 7:00pm and Wednesday and Thursday, April 2nd and 3rd at8:00pm. Tickets for Preview Performances are just $25. Opening Night will be Friday, April 4th at 8:00pm, and regular performances will run Tuesdays at 7:00pm and Wednesdays-Saturdays at 8:00pm. Matinee performances will be offered on Saturday afternoons at 4:00pm and Sunday afternoons at 2:00pm.

VSC will hold a post-show discussion on Sunday, April 6th after the 2:00pm matinee, where audience members will have the chance to participate in an open discussion with the director of the play. An ASL interpreted performance will be held on Saturday, March 12th at 8:00pm.

VSC also invites everyone to join them at the Wells Theater for their Director's Salon on April 1st at 5:30pm, for wine, discussion, and an insider's look at the show with Chris Hanna.
