"The Doyle & Debbie Show," a zany Country music tribute straight out of Nashville, arrives at Barter Theatre's Stage II on September 22 with quips for Country fans and critics alike.

Doyle and Debbie, who emulate some of Country's most iconic duos, bring to life their original songs with gloriously tacky perfection. Over the past eight years the duo has developed a rabid cult following in Nashville, Tennessee where they regularly perform at the Station Inn.

Some of Doyle and Debbie's classic songs, which you may have heard, include: "Whine Whine Twang Twang," "Stock Car Love," "Barefoot and Pregnant," "Blue Stretch Pants," and their classic favorite, "Fat Women in Trailers."

Country music legend Doyle Mayfield is a household name in several neighborhoods in Cocke County, Tennessee where he was born and raised. Doyle has loved performing since a young age and in 1979 he finally made his trek to Nashville where he began his iconic career.

Over the years, most women haven't been able to keep up with Doyle, who is quite the performer, Debbie is actually Doyle's third Debbie, but she is determined to be the one who lasts! Debbie comes from Mooney's Gap, Tennessee where she has spent the last nine and a half years singing at the VFW Hall. Debbie has three beautiful children.

Doyle and Debbie will also be joined by Doyle's longtime Band Leader, Buddy Apple.
