Something BIG is coming to Roanoke Children's Theatre this fall. Kicking off the 9th Season at RCT, THE BFG (Big Friendly Giant) will take the audience on a magical journey devoted to chasing dreams.

Roald Dahl's classic book will come to life in the Shaftman Performance Hall, showcasing that RCT is BIGGER and BETTER at the Jefferson Center! THE BFG (Big Friendly Giant) will run from September 23-25, 2016 at the Jefferson Center (541 Luck Ave SW). All dreams begin at Roanoke Children's Theatre! At least when The BFG is around! Join Sophie and the dream hunting giant as they travel to Giant Country, collecting magical dreams to fill the minds of kids while they sleep.

Roald Dahl's unforgettable journey inspired the Disney and Steven Spielberg movie and now audiences will have a chance to see it live on stage. "To be able to present a beloved story, loved by all ages, in a beautiful performance space with all the bells and whistles anyone could possibly want is monumental to RCT's mission," says RCT Artistic Director Pat Wilhelms. "We strive to bring high quality theatre to families all over the Roanoke Valley. I am especially happy to also offer a preshow opening night event of THE BFG for free for the whole family! Free food, take home dream jars and a giant memory!"
