Building on last season's successful THE PORCH music series that combined performances of folk/heritage music and storytelling, Firehouse announces THE PARISH. Hosted by Richmond favorite Starlet Knight, the new Firehouse Fringe program features local choirs from RVA churches and temples singing liturgical music and sharing stories about their motivations and experiences as choir members.

THE PARISH begins on Sunday September 25 at 7pm with The Antioch Baptist Church choir and Pastor Greg Sault filling Firehouse with a joyful noise and giving us a glimpse into the life of a choir member. There is a suggested donation of $15 at the door. Future PARISH shows are scheduled for Sunday November 6, Sunday January 22, and Sunday March 12.

For further information, or to get your choir a date in the series please contact Adam B. Ferguson at 804.355.2001.

ABOUT FIREHOUSE
Firehouse's 23rd Season is built around the theme BREAKING THROUGH. We're continuing our practice of programming in three different series - FIREHOUSE PLAYS, FIREHOUSE FRINGE, and FIREHOUSE STUDIO. Our hyperactive programming model advances our mission to be an artistic home, a thriving hub of creative activity, and a center of community engagement where new work is developed and performed.
