Sky Masterson - "Luck Be A Lady"

Benny Southstreet - "Guys and Dolls"

Nicely Nicely Johnson - "Sit Down You're Rocking the Boat"

Sarah Brown - "I'll Know" AND "If I Were a Bell" -- we may not ask for both, but if you are interested in the role please have both cuts prepared

Miss Adelaide - "Adelaide's Lament"

Date: Tuesday, July 25 at 6:30pm, by invitation only.

REHEARSALS begin Sunday, July 30

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:

Bring headshot and resume. If auditioning for Sky, Benny, Nicely Nicely, Sarah or Adelaide, please prepare the vocal selection cuts from the show (provided in link above). If not auditioning for a specific role, please prepare 32 bars of a classic musical theatre piece. An accompanist will be provided. All are encouraged to attend both the vocal and dance call. Audition sides from the script with be provided at the Callbacks.

CASTING THE FOLLOWING ROLES:

SKY MASTERSON: (Male. Baritone B to Eb. Age 25 - 40) Charismatic, cool and charming.

prepare "Luck Be A Lady"

Sarah Brown: (Female. Soprano to High A. Age 21 - 35) Conventional, respectable and principled, emotionally buttoned up, but with a seething passion underneath. Prepare both "I'll Know" and "If I Were a Bell".

NATHAN DETROIT: (Male. Baritone to High F. Age 35 - 50) Organizer of the floating crap game. A lovable rogue; funny, frustrated and romantic.

ADELAIDE: (Female. Mezzo to A. Age 30s to 40s.) Lead performer at the 'Hot Box,' brash but innocent; romantic, but tacky. Strong comic ability, with excellent character singing and dancing required.

Prepare "Adelaide's Lament"

NICELY NICELY JOHNSON: (Male. Tenor to high B flat. Age 30 to 50.) Best pal to Nathan Detroit. Comic, cheerful and likable. Prepare "Sit Down You're Rocking the Boat"

BENNY SOUTHSTREET: (Male. Baritone. Age 25 - 30) Nicely's pal and Nathan's flunky; a newcomer to the gangster world. Prepare "Guys & Dolls"

BIG JULE: (Male. Speaking role. Age 40+.) Powerful, intimidating, high status gangster from out of town, whose reputation precedes him. A man of few words but much clout.

ARVIDE ABERNATHY: (Male. Baritone 55-60.) Supporting singing role. Sarah's grandfather and member of the mission. Wise, warm and caring.

LT. BRANNIGAN: (Male. Non-singing role. Age 35+.) Minor Role, Member of the local police force, wise to the gangsters' exploits and trying to keep them in order. Commands respect from Nathan and the guys.

GENERAL MATILDA B. CARTWRIGHT: (Female mezzo 40 - 65.) Cameo. Regional representative of the Mission. Powerful, matronly, no-nonsense with a formidable presence and a sense of humor.

MALE DANCERS: strong male dancers needed

FEMALE ENSEMBLE: Women of varying ages (18+) to play Hot Box girls, Cuban dancers, and city dwellers.
