The Theater Company of Hoboken (TTC) continues to host the SPOKEN WORD SERIES in Studio C413 on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 3pm. The Series honors poetry and prose alike and this month's event will be an open mic in lieu of the usual featured writer - allowing its regulars and attendees to read and share their work.

"We chose to make this month's reading an open mic," notes TTC's Producing Artistic Director David Zimmerman, "because so many of our attendees enjoy the opportunity to read and share their work freely and openly. It isn't about review boards, or editors… this is about the core of writing – poetry or prose, and what the message is the artists are trying to convey."

Press notes state, "So whether you write about every-day things, fantasies, sadness or euphoria; whether it rhymes, has rhythm or makes you burst into song; whether it's an Ode, Haiku or Epic, come to TTC's Spoken Word event this Sunday and share your words. We have people waiting to lend an ear and share in your passion."
