The Forum Theatre Arts Center today announced two upcoming events - the screening of Finding Vivian Maier and the run of David Finkelstein's Bar Mitzvah.

This weekend, The Forum Theatre will screen the acclaimed documentary Finding Vivian Maier, tonight, April 18 at 7:30pm and Saturday April 19 at 5:30pm and 7:30pm.

Who is Vivian Maier? Now considered one of the 20th century's greatest street photographers, Vivian Maier was a mysterious nanny who secretly took over 100,000 photographs that went unseen during her lifetime. Since buying her work by chance at auction, amateur historian John Maloof has crusaded to put this prolific photographer in the history books. Maier's strange and riveting life and art are revealed through never-before-seen photographs, films, and interviews with dozens who thought they knew her. Running time is 84 minutes.

Tickets are also now on sale to one of the funniest musicals of the season, David Michael Finkelstein's Bar Mitzvah, a hilarious new musical by Sue Fabisch (author of Motherhood the Musical) and directed by Peter J Loewy.

You know that group of relatives you don't want to invite, but you have to anyway? Well, they're all here in this riotous original musical comedy. You'll catch the gossip between Ruth and Irv, their nebbishy daughter Sarah and a cast of characters including Matthew (the doctor!), Cousin Barry and his date Gina, the beautiful Italian manicurist (don't ask!). The show is backed a 3 piece band. Performances begin June 19 and run through July 20, Thursday through Saturday at 8:00pm and Sunday matiness at 3:00pm. Tickets are $35 with discounts of 20% for groups of 10 or more. Tickets can be purchased at www.forumtheatrearts.org or by calling 732.548.5600.
